So who really wants to repeat life’s mistakes over and over again? Few of us! To recognize a mistake we’ve made in the past is only helpful if we choose to be good students at learning from experiences.

Given events of the past, current situation, and plans for the future, people would do well to ask, “What is the wise thing to do?” At what point do individuals recognize significant and repetitive mistakes … before, during or after the mistaken action?

How often do we make similar mistakes. Was the mistake memorable enough to serve as a caution? Were the consequences from the last mistake so great that the person vows never to make that mistake again?

Stay alert, recognize the potential hazards, allow the same major mistake only once and learn from your mistake. Another option is to notice and learn from the mistakes of others. Your other choice is simply to allow your personal mistake history to repeat itself and accept the negative consequences.

However, life can get complicated enough without repeating poor decision making. Life doesn’t have to become more complex and difficult. Experience is the best teacher if we seek to become the best students. Why not stay alert and enjoy a life driven by wisdom and faith.

-Red Grapes
-5 Almonds
-Pinch of Cinnamon
-Vanilla Extract
-1 tbsp Coconut Oil
-Silk Non-Fat Almond Milk
-Danon Non-Fat Strawberry Greek Yogurt
-Dymatize Nutrition Gourmet Elite Strawberries and Cream Whey

Homemade Sloppy Joe Day (made my way, of course)


2 tbsp Butter
2-½ lbs Ground Chuck
½ lrg Onion, Diced
1 lrg Green Bell Pepper, Diced
3 cloves Garlic, Minced
1-½ cup Ketchup
1 cup Water
2 tbsp Tomato Paste
2 tbsp Brown Sugar
2 tbsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Dry Mustard
1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1 tsp Cumin
1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Cayenne
1 tsp Chili Sauce
Black Pepper
Kaiser Rolls

Preparation Instructions

Add butter to a large skillet or dutch oven over medium high heat. Add ground beef and cook until almost completely browned. Drain most of the fat and discard.

Add onions, green pepper, and garlic. Cook for a few minutes, or until vegetables begin to get soft.

Add ketchup, brown sugar, chili pepper, hot pepper flakes, dry mustard, cayenne, cumin, paprika, etc. and water.

Stir to combine and simmer for 15 minutes, adding salt and pepper to taste.

Add tomato paste, taste and adjust seasonings if needed.

Spread rolls with butter and brown/toast on a griddle or skillet. Spoon meat mixture over the toasted rolls. Enjoy!
