Review: Lunatick Cosmetics Labs Apocalipstick in Cinderhella

@Lunatick_Cosmetic_Labs’ Apocalipstick in “Cinderhella” is an awesome lipstick, packaged in a black bullet-shaped casing.

It looks so cool, you really want to stare at it for a while. It gave me a good chuckle, as we all want a killer lipstick, right?

No, this dangerously apocalyptic-themed apocalipstick is not that matte liquid lipstick that lasts 36 hours, through a nuclear meltdown and more, but it does the job.

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 out of 5 stars, based upon my deep affection for long-wear matte waterproof lipstick)

At first, Cinderhella appears to be a medium-dark violet lipstick. It’s creamy, very moisture rich texture is not drying at all, which is precisely why it does NOT last the 36 hours of a matte liquid lipstick, unfortunately.

However, after blotting a few times, it stays put, maintaining its succulent berry color that lasts quite a long time. I swatched it overnight, and in the morning it was still there. The lipstick did mellow a bit overnight becoming a very beautifully soft rosy-mauve and stayed there for a good many hours: through hand washing, hand sanitizer, cosmetics wipes, and general daily activities, etc.

I got it off easily with coconut oil and, even then, I could still see a faint line from where I had swatched the color.

All told, 24 HOURS for a non-matte formula is GREAT coverage!

Given that, I would say the wonderfully maniacal minds at @Lunatick_Cosmetic_Labs definitely have a winner with their Apocalipsticks, especially for those who want great color intensity, but don’t like the feeling of a longer-lasting waterproof formula, which can be very drying to lips depending upon the formula.

Even for a diehard, non-smudge, long-lasting lipstick wearing girl – once you blot this beautiful lipstick – it does not budge, softening with time and remaining lovely in every way a good lipstick should.
