In an especially haunting revelation, Hill told the NYT that “Prince told her ‘I had to fight for my life. I remember hearing your voices from afar and saying to myself, Follow the voices, follow the voices, get back in your body, you gotta do this.’ And he said it was the hardest thing he’d ever done, to get back into his body like that.”

#RIP Joe Cocker… You gave us so much wonderful music. You will be missed, but you live on in such beloved songs.
“Love Lift Us Up (Where We Belong)”, “You Are So Beautiful (To Me)”, and Woo-Wee… I got to mention: “You Can Leave Your Hat On”… Who didn’t/doesn’t love dancing to that one? LOL!
Thank you for sharing your gift with us!

Nana — I woke up today at the exact time you left us 24 years ago. I mourn you today as I did then; moreso, because time goes by so slowly now.
You were my protector, my nurturer, my best friend and my heart. I love you and miss you so very much, and that doesn’t end no matter how many years pass; how many decades pass; it is, but a second in time.
Until we meet again, my beautiful Nana… I pray you’re at peace, amongst GOD’s most beautiful Roses.

I loved Shirley Temple as a child. I never missed a movie, no matter how many times I’d seen it.
I loved singing along with her and pretending I was tap dancing with the best of the best, as she did.
Rest In Peace, Shirley. Thanks for making my childhood just a little bit magical. Along with your movies, I could be a star.
